As stated in its title, the group is composed of current students, former students who have graduated, and friends of those associated with the Professional Writing major that is available to be studied by current students at York College of Pennsylvania. How to Join & The Benefits of Joining
Although everyone with a Facebook account is able to view the posts made within the "Discussion" section of the public group, only those who are members will have the ability to make posts. Those interested in joining must be a current student, past student who has graduated, or friend of at least one individual associated with the Professional Writing major. If one fits into one or more of the aforementioned categories, the only other step to take is to submit a request and wait for approval. Due the connections available to current students at York College of Pennsylvania, those interested in joining the public group will have a higher chance of being accepted if they are currently enrolled. Being granted permission to be a member allows one to make posts within the "Discussion" section, which provides the new member the ability to interact with other members of varied expertise. The ability to interact with other members, regardless of their skill level, allows the new member to have a direct form of communication with those who have knowledge about the Professional Writing major, which is highly beneficial for current students.
