For more information: The Writing Center
The Writing Center
Students from any of the majors offered at York College of Pennsylvania have access to the Writing Center. With that being said, Professional Writing majors may particularly benefit from the resources available at the Writing Center, whether they do so by visiting in order to receive valuable feedback for an in-progress essay, or if they are the tutors providing feedback to other students. Those who decide to tutor will not only be paid, but also gain real-world experience that will be worthy of adding to a resume. Regardless of their role, Professional Writing students who choose to utilize the resources available at the Writing Center will ultimately improve their own writing capabilities.
Visit & Get Involved
Those interested in visiting the Writing Center may do so by visiting HUM19, located in the Humanities Center. Professional Writing students--or any current students at York College of Pennsylvania--may become paid writing tutors by completing the Teaching and Tutoring Writing I course. This required course for those interested in becoming writing tutors is offered to students who have completed their basic Foundations Communication requirements.
